Former Zimbabwean minister Nyasha Chikwinya has advocated for the legalization of sex work in the country, emphasizing its role in preventing marriages from breaking down. Speaking at a meeting organized by the Economic Justice Women Project, Chikwinya urged policymakers to address the concerns of sex workers and protect them from rampant abuses. She acknowledged the reality of sex work and proposed the initiation of efforts to legalize it, emphasizing the potential to shield workers in this category.

Chikwinya highlighted the pivotal role sex workers play in society, asserting that they contribute to saving marriages.
