Hundreds of residents from communities along the Ibadan – Iwo Road staged a peaceful protest at the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) office in Ibadan on Monday, demanding an end to erratic electricity supply.
They gathered at the IBEDC office in the Alabebe area, blocking part of the major Ibadan – Iwo Road route. The protest, which affected communities like Olodo, Monatan, Alabebe, and others, aimed to draw attention to persistent power outages. IBEDC preemptively closed its office to forestall any disorder, prompting residents to express frustration over ongoing electricity challenges in the region.
