Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, has expressed his acceptance of the Supreme Court's judgment on the state's governorship election as a divine decision.
Gawuna conveyed this sentiment in an interview with BBC Hausa, emphasizing his belief in God's wisdom and the need for all parties involved, including supporters, to acknowledge and respect the court's ruling.
The Supreme Court's recent affirmation of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) as the duly elected governor of Kano State marked the conclusion of a fierce legal battle that traversed the tribunal and Appeal Court.
Gawuna, in his reflections, urged unity, obedience, and moral uprightness among the people of Kano State. He highlighted the role of prayer in seeking peace and prosperity for both the state and the nation, emphasizing that the APC remains committed to righteous governance.
