Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, presented a N273.9 billion budget for 2024 to the Osun State House of Assembly. Titled "Budget of Reconstruction and Recovery," the appropriation bill is divided into N165.7 billion for recurrent expenditure and N108.3 billion for capital expenditure.
Adeleke emphasized the budget's focus on rebuilding the state's economy, addressing existing laws mandating timely budget presentations. Expressing gratitude to the Assembly, the Governor pledged to elevate the state to greater heights and sought the House's ongoing support.
Speaker Adewale Egbedun affirmed the Assembly's commitment to collaborating with the Executive for successful budget implementation, assuring a responsible and responsive approach to address state challenges. The budget aims to propel Osun State toward economic recovery and growth in the coming year.
