Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, expressed optimism that the political dispute between him and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, will find a resolution. He likened their differences to a typical father-son disagreement, emphasizing that any issues, if present, would be resolved.
The Governor's remarks came during a visit by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, who led a military delegation to the Government House in Port Harcourt, the state's capital. Fubara reiterated the importance of peace and security in the country, particularly with off-season elections scheduled for this month, aligning with President Bola Tinubu's commitment to stability.
He addressed the situation within the state, assuring that despite the public's curiosity about the ongoing developments, there were no significant issues. He emphasized that any internal matters would be resolved, and the state would return to its usual state of affairs.
Fubara's optimistic outlook on resolving the political dispute and his commitment to maintaining peace align with broader efforts to ensure stability and security during upcoming elections in the region
