The incident occurred at the Okrika Waterfront near the Marine Base, where six armed men stormed the area in a speedboat. They fired gunshots into the air, causing panic, and swiftly abducted Fubara in what appeared to be a premeditated operation.
As of now, there has been no contact from the kidnappers regarding ransom demands. The Rivers State Police Command is aware of the situation, and the Commissioner of Police, Tunji Disu, has ordered tactical units to ensure Fubara's safe release. A manhunt has been initiated to apprehend the kidnappers and bring them to justice.
