In a bold move to address the escalating insecurity, kidnapping, and persistent attacks plaguing residents of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner for Public Complaint, Dalhatu Ezekiel, delivered a fervent plea on Monday. Speaking at a press briefing specifically organized to tackle the worsening security situation in the FCT, Ezekiel urgently called upon the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency, underscoring the critical nature of the threat faced by the capital.

Ezekiel emphasized the need for immediate and decisive action, stressing that the safety of FCT residents must take precedence. He urged FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to consider the suspension of ongoing projects if necessary, redirecting resources to address the pressing security concerns.
