The Israel-Palestine war continued to exact a heavy toll, with the death count escalating four days after Hamas launched a brutal attack on Israel from the tiny Gaza Strip. Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed over 1,200 lives lost in Israel, including more than 250 people who had attended a music festival.

Among the casualties were 22 Americans. Meanwhile, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported over 1,100 casualties in the Gaza Strip due to Israel's retaliatory strikes. This tragic count includes at least 326 children and over 5,300 wounded individuals.

In response to the ongoing conflict, France has taken a strict stance by banning protests in solidarity with Palestinians. Demonstrations organized by Association France Palestine Solidarite and Collectif National Paix Juste Durable Palestine in Paris, as well as a protest in Lyon, have been banned due to concerns about public order disturbances.

In the UK, Home Secretary Suella Braverman warned that waving the Palestinian flag and chanting slogans for Palestinian freedom could be considered a criminal offense. This statement came after a pro-Palestine demonstration in London drew thousands of participants.

Back in Nigeria, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on the government and citizens to prevent the Israel-Palestine conflict from spilling into the country. CAN's President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, expressed concern about the war's devastating impact, emphasizing the importance of proportionality and safeguarding innocent civilians. CAN also urged the suspension of airlifting Nigerian pilgrims to the region until normalcy returns, citing concerns for their safety and well-being.

The Israel-Palestine conflict continues to generate international consequences and raises fears for global stability
