Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a joint statement with his war cabinet, pledged on Wednesday to continue battling Hamas, declaring every member of the Palestinian militant group as "a dead man" following Hamas's recent surprise attack. Netanyahu expressed Israel's determination to "destroy" Hamas, drawing a parallel between the group and the Islamic State (Daesh), stating, "Hamas is the Daesh (Islamic State group) and we will crush them and destroy them as the world has destroyed Daesh. We will wipe Hamas off the face of the earth." These remarks signal an escalated Israeli response to the conflict.

In response to the ongoing crisis, Netanyahu temporarily resolved political differences and established an emergency government, including former defense minister Benny Gantz, a centrist figure. The emergency government's formation aims to address the crisis more effectively and present a united front in dealing with the Hamas threat.

This strong statement from the Israeli Prime Minister underscores the severity of the situation and the intention to take decisive action against Hamas, which continues to escalate the Israel-Hamas conflict
