Renowned Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, recently shared her early life experiences and how she faced poverty for the first time during her marriage to her ex-husband. Speaking on a podcast with Toke Makinwa, she revealed that before her marriage, she enjoyed a comfortable life with her grandmother, who was quite wealthy.
Ojo's grandmother was known as one of the wealthiest women of her time, and their home was equipped with an industrial generator that ensured constant electricity. She even had her own car to commute to school. However, her life took a turn when she married her first husband.
The actress married at a young age of 21 to a Lagos-based clearing agent in 1999, which led her to put her career on hold. The marriage brought two children, Felix Ojo and Priscilla Ajoke Ojo. Sadly, the union did not last, and they divorced.
