Suspected bandits have abducted passengers, including candidates sitting for the ongoing JAMB examination, along the Makurdi-Otukpo road in Benue State. The Benue Links bus carrying about 18 passengers was intercepted near Otukpo around 8 pm on Wednesday. Two people, the driver and one passenger, managed to escape. Police Commissioner Ifeanyi Emenari confirmed 14 passengers were abducted and said he is personally heading the rescue operation in the bush.
