Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, criticized the Defence Headquarters' (DHQ) explanation for the recent air strike in Tudun Birni, where over 120 people lost their lives. The DHQ attributed the attack to terrorists embedded among civilians.
Governor Sani, in a TV interview, labeled the statement as "careless," emphasizing the need for thorough verification before making such claims.
He called on the Chief of Army Staff to retract the statement, highlighting the importance of empathy and justice for the affected families.
Despite the criticism, Governor Sani expressed ongoing support for the military in countering insurgency.
The Federal Government has initiated a probe into the incident, pledging to start rebuilding the affected community within the next three weeks.
