Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has refuted claims of a political witch-hunt in the ongoing probe initiated by his administration. Despite assertions from his predecessor, Abdullahi Ganduje, that the probe is aimed at him, Governor Yusuf maintains that the commissions of inquiry were established to ensure transparency and accountability in governance.
Addressing concerns during a meeting with the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, Governor Yusuf emphasized the need to address political violence in the state, promising to investigate and hold perpetrators accountable, regardless of political affiliations.
Highlighting his administration's efforts in combating political thuggery and empowering youths, Governor Yusuf outlined priorities in healthcare, education, and infrastructure development.
Additionally, he announced the formation of a committee to investigate past wrongdoings and recover misappropriated public funds. Emir Bayero commended Governor Yusuf's commitment to developmental projects and urged parents to monitor their children to curb social vices and political thuggery.
