Former Kogi Deputy Speaker, Hon. Enema Paul, has passed away after an undisclosed illness. Known for his dedication to public service, Paul represented Okura State Constituency in Kogi’s 8th Assembly. Speaker Aliyu Umar Yusuf described him as a humble, committed leader and offered condolences to his family and colleagues.

The former Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Enema Paul, has passed away. He reportedly died in the early hours of Saturday at a private hospital in Abuja after battling an undisclosed illness.

Honorable Paul was serving as the representative for Okura State Constituency in Kogi’s 8th Assembly. His tenure as Deputy Speaker came to an end when he resigned due to health challenges, after which Honorable Comfort Ojoma Nwuchiola, representing Ibaji State Constituency, assumed the position.

The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Honorable Aliyu Umar Yusuf, expressed his condolences in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Yabagi Mohammed. Describing Paul as a humble, committed, and collaborative legislator, the Speaker highlighted his dedication to the unity and development of Kogi State.

“He was a devoted Christian who upheld family values and consistently worked towards legislation that prioritized the welfare of the people,” Yusuf noted.

The Speaker extended his prayers for the bereaved family, colleagues in the Assembly, and all who were impacted by this loss, asking for strength to endure the difficult period.
