Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central Senatorial District has rejected a congratulatory message from Governor Yahaya Bello following her victory at the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal. The congratulatory message came after the Appeal Court upheld her victory. Governor Bello, in his message, referred to Natasha as his sister and emphasized the importance of accepting the court's verdict to prevent any law and order issues in the state.

In response, Senator Natasha accused the governor of multiple attempts on her life, alleging that he had tried to harm her and disrupt the electoral process in the past. She criticized the governor for his actions and stated that he does not understand the principles of democracy.

During an appearance on Channels Television, Senator Natasha revealed that she had video evidence of the governor's henchmen shooting at her vehicle, and she recounted instances where they obstructed roads to disrupt elections and endanger her life. The rejection of the congratulatory message highlights the deep-seated political divisions and tensions in Kogi State.
