A couple, Paul Onyeama and Adline Ogbonna, allegedly beat their 10-year-old adopted daughter, Faith, to death in the Igando area of Lagos State on Sunday, according to reports. Residents told PUNCH Metro that the child had been sick for about two weeks yet the alleged abuse continued. The couple allegedly kept the corpse in their room and attempted to dispose of it using a tricycle before youths intervened. The suspects were arrested at the Igando Police Division. The victim was confirmed dead on arrival at a hospital.

Key Points
  • A 10-year-old child dies after weeks of alleged abuse by her adoptive parents.

Watch whether the case is transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, and if charges of murder are filed against the couple.
