In the latest global rankings by Time Out, Lagos has clinched the 19th position among the best cities to visit in 2024.
The British media and hospitality company compiled the list based on a survey of more than 20,000 city dwellers worldwide, considering factors such as food quality, culture, nightlife, community vibes, and access to green spaces. Lagos emerged as the sole African representative, sharing the spotlight with Cape Town (2nd) and Accra (44th).
Time Out praised Lagos for its dynamic live-work-play concept, noting a burgeoning scene in Epe and highlighting factors contributing to the city's high standard of living, including a 96% happiness rate among locals.
Specific areas like Victoria Island, Lekki, Ikeja, and Oniru Beach were commended, showcasing the diverse and vibrant appeal of Africa's most populous city.
