The Federal Ministry of Works has announced a 24-hour total closure of both bounds of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, starting from noon on Wednesday to noon on Thursday. The closure is part of the ongoing rehabilitation works on the bridge and aims to facilitate a crucial phase of repair.
Mrs Olukorede Kesha, the Federal Controller of Works, urged road users to explore alternative routes and cooperate with traffic management officials to ensure smooth movements during this period.
The Lagos State Government also issued a notification, advising commuters to utilize provided alternative routes. The closure aligns with efforts to enhance the structural integrity of the Third Mainland Bridge and minimize inconveniences to the public.
