Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has called upon President Bola Tinubu to release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
In a widely circulated video on social media, Igboho emphasized Kanu's role as an agitator for the Southeast region, akin to his own efforts in championing the cause of the Southwest. "Release Nnamdi Kanu.
Stop politics, this guy didn't do anything," Igboho asserted. Kanu, who has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since July 2021, was repatriated to Nigeria by the Federal government.
Igboho's plea adds another layer to the ongoing discourse surrounding the detention of Kanu and the broader conversation on self-determination movements across Nigeria.
