The Lagos State Government has announced a groundbreaking initiative to relocate the renowned Computer Village market from Ikeja to Kantangora in Abule Egba.

The decision is part of the state's broader Urban Development Agenda, aiming to streamline and reorganize markets across Lagos. An official spokesperson highlighted that the move is not limited to Computer Village alone but includes comprehensive plans for the entire Katangora market area.

The government envisions transforming the market into a well-equipped space, providing essential services such as creches, schools, playgrounds, religious facilities, hotels, storage rooms, and warehouses.

The initiative seeks to address traffic issues in Ikeja by creating a dedicated market space, reflecting the state's commitment to organized urban planning.
