A petition calling for the ban of Marlian Music has gained significant momentum, amassing over 50,000 signatures. The petition was initiated on change.org in the wake of the tragic passing of former Marlian Music artist, Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, who died less than a year after his contentious departure from the record label owned by Naira Marley.
Mohbad had previously raised concerns about his safety, alleging threats to his life by Naira Marley and his associates while he was still alive. His unexpected demise on September 10, 2023, left many questions unanswered regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.
In response to the public outcry and mounting concerns, the police have launched an official investigation into the circumstances of Mohbad's passing. Concurrently, enraged fans have taken to signing the petition, demanding the prohibition of Marlian Music.
