Walson-Jack's journey began in the Rivers State Ministry of Justice, where she served as State Counsel. Her career trajectory led her to become a pioneer staff member in Bayelsa State following its creation in 1996. There, she played a crucial role in establishing foundational legal and administrative structures.
As the only certified Legal Drafter in Bayelsa State, Walson-Jack's expertise was instrumental in shaping the state's legal landscape. She drafted all edicts promulgated by Military Administrators from 1996 to 1999 and executive bills enacted as laws by the State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2002.
In the Federal Civil Service, Walson-Jack has held key positions, including Assistant Director and Deputy Director in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs. Her leadership skills were further honed during her secondment to the Bayelsa State Government, where she served in various high-level roles.
Walson-Jack's contributions have not gone unnoticed. She has received numerous accolades, including being named African Iconic Female Administrator of the Year in 2024. As an accomplished author, her autobiography "Roses in the Thorns" offers insights into her journey of resilience and triumph.
