In a recent coroner's court proceeding, Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Mohbad, revealed shocking details about his son's troubled marriage and untimely demise. Joseph Aloba testified that his son's wife, Wunmi, had an affair with another artist signed to the Marlian record label. He disclosed that his son had confided in him that Wunmi had even gone so far as to put sleeping pills in his food.
Joseph recounted that he had lived with Mohbad for 18 years before the young artist left home to pursue his music career, ultimately working alongside Naira Marley. Joseph last saw his son three days before his tragic death, and he was shocked to learn about it through a picture of Mohbad's casket.
During his testimony, Joseph expressed mistrust towards his son's wife and highlighted her alleged actions of adding sleeping pills to his meals. He claimed that Mohbad shared with him how Wunmi would add sleeping pills to his noodles and then retire to another room to be with another artist from their record label.
Furthermore, Joseph disclosed that the landed property owned by Mohbad was in the custody of Wunmi's mother. Despite their disputes, Mohbad had promised to handle his issues with Naira Marley.
