A Lagos State Magistrates' Court in Yaba has remanded a 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, back into custody. Ogedengbe was arrested in connection with the controversial death of hip-hop artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad. It is alleged that the nurse administered injections that led to Mohbad's demise.

The court also ordered that Ayobani Sadiq, a friend of Mohbad and a suspect in the case, be returned to police custody.

However, the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, granted bail of N20 million each to Mohbad's former boss, Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley), and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), who were also implicated in Mohbad's death and taken into custody on October 6. The bail conditions include three responsible sureties in like sum, with one owning a landed property. The defendants are required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

Magistrate Olatunbosun emphasized that no one should contact her directly on the case, warning that any attempts to do so would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.

The police are still investigating the case, and it has been adjourned until November 29 for advice from the Office of the Directorate of Public Prosecution.
