Street-pop artiste, Portable, renowned for his vibrant performances, has made a heartfelt appeal to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in light of recent legal actions against celebrities.
Following the sentencing of crossdresser Bobrisky and the filing of charges against nightlife promoter Cubana Chief Priest for alleged currency misuse, Portable took to Instagram to seek forgiveness for his past actions of spraying money on fans.
Speaking during a live session, he emphasized his desire to turn a new leaf by encouraging his admirers to open bank accounts, commit to making transfers instead of engaging in money spraying. Asserting his innocence, Portable expressed his willingness to cooperate with the authorities and urged others to follow suit.
The EFCC, in response, has disclosed ongoing investigations into several celebrities suspected of currency abuse, signaling a broader crackdown on such practices within the entertainment industry.
