Nigerian singer Naira Marley, born Azeez Fashola, and show promoter Sam Larry have been released from detention by the Lagos State Police Command after meeting their bail conditions.

This follows their arrest and subsequent arraignment on October 6 in connection to the circumstances surrounding the death of popular singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad. A Magistrate’s Court in Yaba, Lagos State, granted bail to Naira Marley and Sam Larry on November 6, setting their bail at N20 million with three sureties. The court instructed them to submit their passports and mandated weekly reporting to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.

The spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin has confirmed the release.
