The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially declared Tuesday, October 1, as a public holiday to celebrate the nation's 64th Independence Anniversary. This announcement was made by Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, through a statement from Dr. Magdalene Ajani, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. The statement was issued on Saturday, September 28.
In his address, Dr. Tunji-Ojo congratulated all Nigerians, both within the country and abroad, for reaching this significant milestone. He praised the resilience, dedication, and sacrifices of Nigerian citizens, emphasizing that these efforts are essential to building the Nigeria of their dreams.
