Arogbofa, a native of Oka Akoko in Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, retired from the Nigerian Army in 2004. His contributions to the nation spanned various roles, from his military service to his involvement in politics and administration.
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa expressed profound sorrow at the news, issuing a statement through his chief press secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan. The governor described Arogbofa's death as a "tragic loss" and acknowledged the deceased's significant contributions to Nigeria's development.
In the official statement, Governor Aiyedatiwa said, "The invaluable services and contributions of Gen. Arogbofa to the development of Nigeria as a soldier, politician, and administrator will remain indelible."
