In a press conference held in Abuja on Thursday, the Director of Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, announced the Nigerian Defence Headquarters' endorsement of the trending 2024 slogan, urging Nigerians to say "No gree for terrorists." Encouraging citizens to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities, Buba emphasized the military's commitment to taking prompt action on received tips.

Despite the Nigeria Police Force warning against using the slogan due to its potential to incite unrest, Buba championed its use, stating, "Make Nigerians no gree for terrorists this year. You see something, you say something, and we assure them of doing something."

Buba reiterated the military's steadfast goal for 2024: to locate and destroy terrorists wherever they may be hiding in the country. Emphasizing an unwavering commitment to their mission, he declared, "Our operations indicate that we are hunting the terrorist commanders and their senior leadership. Indeed, from their topmost leadership to the lowest commanders are dead men walking, and we will stop at nothing until they are dead or surrender."

Recent military operations have yielded significant results, with 86 terrorists neutralized and 101 arrested in the past two weeks. Additionally, the military thwarted oil theft in the South-South region, preventing a loss estimated at N736,115,470.00. The director urged Nigerians to join the fight against terrorism, assuring that the military would continue its efforts to ensure the enduring defeat of terrorist elements across the nation.
