The Nigerian Federal Government has increased passport fees, effective September 1, 2024. A 32-page passport now costs N50,000, while the 64-page version is N100,000. The Federal Government has announced an increase in the fees for Nigerian passports, set to take effect on September 1, 2024. The new rates, disclosed by the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) spokesperson, Kenneth Udo, aim to enhance the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport. According to the revised fees, the cost of a 32-page passport with a five-year validity will rise from N35,000 to N50,000.
Meanwhile, the 64-page passport with a ten-year validity will now cost N100,000, up from the previous N70,000. The NIS has expressed regret over any inconvenience this increase may cause applicants, reaffirming its commitment to delivering transparent and high-quality services.
