PrimeBoy, also known as Ibrahim Owodunni, a friend of the late singer Mohbad, has been arrested for the second time in connection with the singer's death in September 2023.
The Lagos State Police Command interrogated PrimeBoy on Tuesday following his initial arrest in October 2023 during the investigation into Mohbad's demise. Alongside another individual, Spending, both had been instructed to visit the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba weekly as part of the ongoing investigation.
According to police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin, PrimeBoy was questioned over alleged defamation of character and other accusations mentioned in a petition by Mohbad's wife, Wunmi.
While PrimeBoy was granted bail during the earlier case, one condition was to sign in at the state CID every Tuesday. Mohbad's death on September 12, 2023, prompted investigations, including the questioning of suspects like Naira Marley and Sam Larry, but details such as autopsy reports remain undisclosed.
