Nigeria Nigerians Ridicule NNPCL's N10 Fuel Price Drop as Paltry and Insignificant

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced a reduction in the depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, from N640 per litre to N630 per litre.

This decision aims to alleviate the financial burden on consumers amidst concerns over escalating fuel costs.

However, reactions from Nigerians on social media varied widely. Some expressed skepticism, with one user humorously questioning whether the reduction was for "splash or buttermint."

Others sarcastically remarked on the minimal difference, with one comment suggesting that the reduction of N10 could barely buy a popular candy, Tom Tom.

Despite the mixed reactions, many Nigerians acknowledged the symbolic significance of any reduction in fuel prices, no matter how small, given the current economic challenges.
