Maryam Waziri, a prominent figure in Kannywood and wife to Tijani Babangida, President of the Professional Footballers Association of Nigeria (PFAN), is fighting for her life after a horrific car crash that tragically claimed the lives of her one-year-old son and brother-in-law.
The accident, which unfolded on the Kaduna-Zaria highway, also left their maid with severe fractures. Reports indicate that Maryam sustained significant injuries, with half of her face disfigured and one eye lost due to the impact.
Emmanuel Babayaro, the General Secretary of PFAN, issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over the devastating loss, revealing that Tijani Babangida has been transferred to an Abuja hospital for urgent surgery on his injured knee and other wounds.
