In a groundbreaking move that has sent shockwaves through Nigeria, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially put its esteemed presidential aircraft, the Falcon 900B, up for sale. The surprising announcement was made through a tweet on NAF's official page on Monday, disclosing that the Federal Government had approved for the sale of the aircraft.
"The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the sale of Falcon 900B aircraft owned by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF)," read a flyer shared by NAF on social media, inviting interested parties to participate in the bidding process.
In compliance with the Public Procurement Act 2007, the NAF has issued an open call for bids, inviting all interested individuals and entities to submit their offers for the purchase of the Falcon 900B. The bid submission process is outlined in detail in the official communication.
Bidders have the option to submit their proposals either electronically or physically. For email submissions, bids are required to be password-protected and sent to [email protected], with the password sent separately to [email protected]. Alternatively, for physical submissions, quotations must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, bearing the name and address of the interested company or entity, along with a description and reference to the request. The envelope should also prominently display the statement, 'DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 24 DECEMBER 2023.'
