The National Judicial Council (NJC) has unveiled a list of recommended appointments that includes 11 justices for the Supreme Court and various judicial officers for federal and state courts in Nigeria.

The NJC's Director of Information, Soji Oye, announced that the swearing-in ceremony for the appointed candidates will follow after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approves the recommendations and the Senate confirms the appointments.

The list includes eminent legal professionals like Hon. Justice Jummai Hannatu Sankey, OFR, and Hon. Justice Chidiebere Nwaoma Uwa, among others, for the Supreme Court.

Additionally, the heads of different courts will assume their roles upon approval by state governors and confirmation by their respective state Houses of Assembly.
