The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has completed the River Niger crossing of the 130-kilometre Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) gas pipeline. The milestone, achieved by NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company, unlocks the pipeline's full capacity of up to 2 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day. The crossing was executed approximately two kilometres beneath the riverbed using advanced horizontal directional drilling technology.
