The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced its plans to mobilize prospective corps members for the 2024 Batch 'A' Stream Two Orientation Course, with a staggering total of 103,000 individuals slated for deployment.

According to Eddy Megwa, the NYSC's spokesperson, this extensive mobilization reflects the significant demand for national service among Nigeria's youth population. With the orientation course set to commence nationwide on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the NYSC is gearing up to accommodate the large influx of prospective corps members.

However, recognizing the logistical challenges posed by such a massive cohort, the NYSC has opted to implement a segmented approach. Megwa emphasized the necessity of mobilizing corps members in batches to ensure the efficient management of orientation camp capacities and maintain optimal health conditions.

By staggering the mobilization process into batches and streams, the NYSC aims to decongest orientation camps while providing a conducive environment for the smooth conduct of the orientation exercise. This strategic approach underscores the NYSC's commitment to upholding best practices and prioritizing the well-being of corps members throughout their service year.
