The Ogun State Government has offered a reward of N50 million for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators who killed Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, the Director of Finance and Administration in Governor Dapo Abiodun's office.

The Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, made the announcement, emphasizing the confidentiality of the information. Oyekanmi was fatally shot by suspected armed robbers on November 29 while returning from a bank in Abeokuta with government funds.

The gunmen ambushed him at Kuto Bridge, stealing the money after the attack. Oyekanmi and other injured aides were rushed to the State General Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Governor Abiodun, who visited the bereaved family, vowed to bring the criminals to justice, assuring full responsibility for the welfare of Oyekanmi's family.
