Ondo State Deputy Speaker, Hon. Olamide Oladiji, has stated that Deputy Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa's recent apology to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is a personal matter and not a concern of the State Assembly. He emphasized that the Assembly would continue with the impeachment process against Aiyedatiwa. Aiyedatiwa had offered an apology to Governor Akeredolu due to alleged misconduct. However, Governor Akeredolu's camp insisted that Aiyedatiwa should face the Assembly's allegations of gross misconduct. Speaker Oladiji clarified that there is no crisis within the Assembly regarding the impeachment process, and lawmakers are united in investigating the allegations against the deputy governor.
