Mary Somfie recently took to social media platform X to share her harrowing experience of being scammed on Fiverr, a popular freelance platform. In her post, she lamented the loss of her hard-earned money and her primary source of income.

Somfie revealed that she attempted to contact Fiverr's support team but had yet to receive a response. FiverrSupport replied to her tweet, acknowledging her complaint and providing a ticket number for reference, urging her to review the message at her earliest convenience.

Despite this, Somfie expressed frustration at the lack of communication from Fiverr. Nigerians reacted swiftly to Somfie's ordeal, expressing sympathy and condemning Fiverr's alleged failure to protect freelancers.

Many criticized the platform for seemingly favoring buyers over sellers and suggested exploring alternative avenues for resolution, such as escalating the issue on LinkedIn. Somfie acknowledged the advice and indicated her willingness to pursue other channels for assistance.
