A disturbing case of child sexual abuse has come to light in Ogun State. A 71-year-old landlord, identified as Adesina, has been arrested for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant's 14-year-old daughter in the Ifesowapo Akute area of Ifo Local Government.
According to reports, the septuagenarian was caught in the act of having sexual intercourse with the minor in the bathroom of the residence. Residents who witnessed the heinous act immediately alerted the authorities, leading to Adesina's arrest by officers from the Ajuwon divisional police headquarters.
Concerned for his daughter's well-being, the distraught father took the 14-year-old to a hospital for a medical examination. The tests revealed the devastating news that the young girl was already six weeks pregnant, indicating that this was not an isolated incident.
The Ogun State Police Spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident and stated that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. She expressed concern over the medical report's findings, suggesting that the minor had been subjected to repeated abuse by the landlord.
