Pastor Enoch Adeboye reveals how he nearly got into trouble for speaking the truth about Nigeria's private refineries. He highlighted the inefficiency of government-owned refineries and questioned why the nation, despite vast resources, struggles while others thrive. Adeboye emphasized divine light and authority for progress in his sermon.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), recently shared how he nearly faced trouble after speaking out about Nigeria’s refinery crisis. During the ongoing Holy Ghost Congress at Redemption City, Adeboye reflected on a statement he made during the Abuja Special Holy Ghost Service, which he said nearly got him in trouble for telling the truth.
In his statement, Adeboye had called for prayers to intervene in the efforts of certain powerful individuals allegedly working against the success of private refineries in Nigeria. He also expressed frustration over the billions of naira spent on repairing government-owned refineries, which continue to operate inefficiently. While addressing the congregation, Adeboye remarked, “Certain things happened, at least in my nation, Nigeria, that make you wonder: Are we under a curse?” He emphasized that despite Nigeria’s vast resources, other nations seem to be doing better, which led him to question the country’s current state.
Adeboye also spoke about the importance of divine light for the nation and its people, likening it to the power of a soldier who draws strength from their Commander-in-Chief. In his sermon, he referenced the first time God spoke, bringing light into the world, and explained how divine authority can bring clarity to confusion. He assured the congregation that with divine intervention, light would shine on Nigeria, leading the country toward progress.
