Dunamis International Gospel Centre has responded to a viral video capturing the church's Senior Pastor, Paul Enenche, confronting a woman during her testimony.
In a statement released by the Secretary to the Senior Pastor, Sylvester Edoh, the church expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to Ms. Anyim Veronica Nnenna. Pastor Enenche is reported to have reached out to her personally.
The incident gained attention after a video surfaced showing Pastor Enenche challenging a woman's testimony of graduating with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Law degree from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). The woman, identified as Vera Ayim, shared her journey of overcoming challenges to pursue education. However, Pastor Enenche interrupted her testimony, disputing the validity of her degree and asserting that lawyers do not earn a BSc in Law.
The incident has sparked controversy on social media, with some supporting Pastor Enenche's actions while others criticize the public embarrassment of the woman. Calls for a public apology to the woman have emerged alongside debates on the handling of such situations during church services.
