Former Manchester United player Paul Pogba is facing a potential four-year suspension after his B sample tested positive for testosterone. Pogba, who now plays for Juventus, has not been in action since the discovery of the positive test. The test was conducted randomly following Juventus' 3-0 win against Udinese on August 20, where Pogba was an unused substitute.

If proceedings against him begin, Juventus is reportedly considering suspending his pay, and if he is ultimately banned, they may terminate his contract. A four-year suspension is the most severe punishment in such cases, with the possibility of extending it to two years if it's proven that the player intentionally used a banned substance.

Pogba, who returned to Juventus as a free agent in 2022, has a contract with the club until the summer of 2025. His annual salary is €7 million (£6 million/$7 million), which may be at risk if he is found guilty of doping charges and receives a lengthy suspension.

Pogba's representative, Rafaela Pimenta, stated, "We are waiting for the counter-analysis, and until then, we can't say anything. The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules."

This news adds to a series of setbacks for Pogba, who has struggled with injuries since rejoining Juventus from Manchester United over a year ago. He missed France's World Cup campaign last year due to a knee injury and had limited appearances in Serie A matches for Juventus last season
