In response to the escalating political turmoil in Rivers State and the impending plot to impeach Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are set to convene with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State. This crucial meeting aims to address the unfolding political crisis in Wike's home state.
The Director General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, CID Maduabum, confirmed the meeting in a statement issued following the Forum's gathering on Tuesday. The Chairman of the Forum, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, will lead approximately 10 other PDP governors to the FCT minister’s office for discussions.
The meeting, scheduled for 10.45 am, is a response to the decision reached during the PDP Governors Forum meeting on Tuesday, October 31st. Their objective is to engage in reconciliation and mediation efforts amid the ongoing political turbulence in Rivers State.
