Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has addressed allegations raised by social media influencer Reno Omokri regarding his educational initiatives during his tenure.
Omokri challenged Obi and his supporters to identify any school project initiated, completed, and commissioned during Obi's time as governor, offering a $10,000 reward for evidence.
Despite the widespread attention and scrutiny, no one was able to counter Omokri's claims. In a recent press conference, Obi acknowledged that he did not undertake the construction of new schools during his governorship but rather focused on revitalizing the existing educational infrastructure.
He emphasized the significant improvements made in Anambra's education sector under his leadership, leading to the state's ascent from 26th to the top in national education rankings. This revelation has ignited discussions surrounding governance, performance evaluation, and political accountability within the Nigerian context.
