The Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has made a supportive entrance into Cote d'Ivoire ahead of the Super Eagles' quarter-final clash against Angola in the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON). Arriving on Friday, his visit is aimed at boosting morale and demonstrating solidarity with Nigeria's national football team.

Valentine Ozigbo, a chieftain of the Labour Party, shared the news on social media, expressing excitement about Obi's presence. In a post, Ozigbo stated, "Just arrived in Côte d’Ivoire with HE @PeterObi to support our soaring Super Eagles to victory in the Quarterfinals of AFCON 2023.
