
The Ekiti State Police Command has confirmed the killing and abduction of worshippers during an attack on a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eda Oniyo, Ilejemeje Local Government Area. Police Public Relations Officer SP Abutu Sunday said in a statement on Wednesday that five gunmen stormed the church around 10:30 pm while members were holding an all-night prayer service on the outskirts of the town, fatally shooting the pastor and abducting some church members. The Commissioner of Police, Michael Falade, has commenced intense bush combing operations in collaboration with the Army, Amotekun Corps, and local hunters.
