Yusuf Tuggar has been designated to stand in for Kashim Shettima at the US-Africa Business Summit due to aircraft issues. The summit, set in Dallas, is pivotal for international dialogues. Concerns arise among Nigerians over the absence of both President Tinubu and VP Shettima.

Yusuf Tuggar, Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, will step in to represent President Bola Tinubu at the 2024 US-Africa Business Summit in Dallas, Texas, following a last-minute change in plans. Initially slated to attend, Vice-President Kashim Shettima had to cancel his trip due to technical issues with his aircraft, diverting back to Nigeria on the advice of the Presidential Air Fleet.

Stanley Nkwocha, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, confirmed Shettima's return and assured that he would continue with his national duties. The abrupt alteration brings attention to the complexities of Nigeria's diplomatic engagements and the intricacies of Tinubu's representation on the global stage.

Nigerians took to social media to express a mixture of skepticism and curiosity regarding the sudden shift. Some questioned the frequency of such incidents, citing them as reflective of broader systemic issues within the government. Others speculated on the motives behind the decision, with suspicions ranging from logistical concerns to more clandestine reasons.

Amidst the reactions, concerns were raised about the absence of both the President and Vice President at such a significant international event, leading to further scrutiny of the administration's handling of diplomatic affairs.
