President Bola Tinubu took center stage during the solemn wreath-laying ceremony, a poignant moment at the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in Abuja.
The event, attended by all service chiefs and heads of security agencies, paid homage to Nigeria's fallen heroes with rituals such as prayers, gun salutes, and the symbolic release of pigeons at the National Arcade, Eagle Square.
The ceremony, an annual tribute to the sacrifices of the military, saw dignitaries, including members of the Federal Executive Council and the diplomatic corps, joining hands to commemorate the occasion.
Simultaneously, state governors and other leaders across the country conducted rites in honor of the day, collectively honoring the nation's defenders.
